Fucked by a bus

See these two busses? The green one is like most of the busses in Seattle. The red one is what's called a Rapid Ride (says that on the side). A Rapid Ride goes one route ONLY and stops every 10-15 mins or so. There are a handful of Rapid Ride routes. BUT only one per stop. So if a red bus stops at your stop, you know exactly where it's going.
Until they fuck you over.
The bus I take every morning is a Rapid Ride (the C line). This morning, a red bus that said Rapid Ride pulled up at the stop at the normal time and I got on. We got across the bridge and instead of going straight, the bus turned left. I went up to the driver and asked "is this not the Rapid Ride C?" "nope." "but it's red and says Rapid Ride on it" "still not". Fuck me.
I got off at the next stop and pondered. I gave up on swimming. I was in a nice neighborhood and it was quiet and peaceful so I got some steps in and then waited for the bus to take me home. Then I got on Twitter and blasted the damn Metro system. Their reply was sometimes we run out of green busses. WTF?????
So now, I will be asking every driver if the bus I'm about to get on is a Rapid Ride C. Damn good thing I didn't have to be a particular somewhere at a particular time.
I need to find my gratitude at having a bus stop near my house so I can at least get to the pool on most days.
Meanwhile in other frustrations... I used to fill out surveys for money on Prolific. I stopped last year because I just got tired of doing it. Then about a month ago, I decided to start again. BUT when I logged on, they had me redo my how identity verification. When I was done they said they would send me an email and it might take as long as 10 days. I had filtered out all their emails so I turned that filter back on and now am getting emails every day requesting I fill out a survey. But, when I click on the link, I get the wait 10 days thing. It's now been about 30 days. I went to reddit and posted a query in the Prolific subredit. Nothing. BUT I did find a link to their FAQ/help center. So this morning, I filled out a ticket. Within 10 minutes I had an email that my account had been fixed. And, I'm back in the saddle again. Whew.
In my new Eat What's In The Freezer program, I've finally gotten in the habit of pulling out things a day in advance. This helps with the whole program. I'm totally making a freezer dent finally. I'm going to try and not spend money this month and eating what I already bought is a good start.
The baseball game is a little earlier than usual today but otherwise normal day. I think I'll go take off my swimsuit.
