And interesting change of brunch pace

susandennisDahlia Lounge brunch was interesting. The bloody mary was pretty but disappointing. It was basically veggies, tomato juice, vodka and a shot of hot sauce. It can't hold a candle to Skylark Cafe's.
The meal, however, totally different story. I had eggs over easy with smoked trout, biscuit and potatoes. The biscuit was perfect. The eggs were done nicely and the trout was heaven. The potatoes were delicious. I don't know what was done to them but they were an explosion of crispy taste.
The guy who owns this restaurant, owns others and knows how to do it. If they made a better bloody mary, I'd go back and often - even though it was 1/3rd more expensive than usual.
There's a Bed, Bath and Beyond across the street and I wanted new pillowcases. Whoa. I had not been in a BB&B in a while. It's now really a drug store with kitchen stuff and a half dozen sheet sets. Wild. They had a far more extensive selection of condoms than they did pillow cases or even bath mats. I'm not sure I'd ever seen so many different kinds of condoms - at least not in such a brightly lit store.
I did not get any pillow cases or condoms for that matter.
Driving was not the greatest idea but at least I now have a full tank of gas. Home and getting cool.

Mainly because my friend's one of the owners and knows exactly how I like the Tobasco.
