I need a cigarette

After smoking for 40 years, one of the most difficult things to figure out what when to take a break.

I've been cleaning out a closet this morning and when I was a smoker, every once in a while, I'd just step away and have a smoke break. But, now I just keep working until all of a sudden I realize my back is killing me or I'm dying of thirst or starving.

The closet I'm doing is the one in the house that is kind of a giant kitchen junk drawer. There is anything and everything in there. It is not jammed but it is now such a disorganized mess, I can't find stuff that I know is there.

So today, it's hunt and find. I have boxes for the various categories and bags for Goodwill and trash. I'm about half done.

I am almost semi halfway tempted to go to a theater and see Julie and Julia. Last year (?) I went to a movie theater for the first time in years and saw Mama Mia which I did not enjoy nearly as much as I expected to. I realized when thinking about this that if I do go it will be the second trip on many years and both for Meryl Streep films? I don't even like her that much. Whacky.

If work stays slow, I might just slip away one afternoon this week. I need to go to Macy's anyway and it's a block from the theater. We'll see.

oh, if you don't know about her life, ABSOLUTELY read her biography first. She had a fascinating life (even before she got to cooking!).

I absolutely agree with Susan. I find it fascinating that she didn't get into/known for her cooking until she was 50. A lot of people think that's the end of life, winding down, and here she was just getting started and went strong for a great many years! That goes to show you that one never knows what life will throw them! :-)
