Dag nabit! I did it again...
Aug. 12th, 2009 04:17 pmMy little Lifebook has only 1GB of memory and is running Windows 7. When I initially installed Windows 7, it ran fairly well but lately, it's been draggin' ass. So this afternoon, I decided to see if I could grease its wheels.
I plugged 'speed up windows 7' into google, clicked on a site I knew as reputable and found a list o' tweaks.
Instead of doing what a smart person would do, I just plowed down the list and tweaked away. Futzing with this, twiddling with that. I ended up making about 7 changes. I rebooted. It's way snappier now which is great.
But, I have no idea which of the 7 did the trick! Guess I will figure it out when I install the retail version.
For now, snappy is good.
