work ranting and bonbons
Aug. 13th, 2009 01:30 pmOne of my co-workers is going on vacation for a week and a day starting tomorrow. I will be picking up most of his stuff and he's making it as difficult as possible. Giving me half info/wrong info, etc. Lord knows what I'll find after he's gone and I'm holding the bag.
My project manager asked me to do a task today that I could not do. I have done it before successfully but today the fucking tool would not cooperate. It's a tool that is required for the task but one I do not use often. Good thing, too cause it's a giant piece of shit.
Waiting now for the co-worker mentioned above to unlock a file so I can work on it. Two email requests and so far, no joy.
I'm trying to find my zen about it all. I'm getting close.
I think I'll go down and get the mail and then if he hasn't unlocked the stupid thing, I'll knit some ears on the bunny while I watch CNET's Buzz Out Loud.
I'm totally addicted to video podcasts on my TiVo. I subscribe to about 10 of them. Some are 2 minutes and some are 52 minutes. Most all are tech related - from CNET or Revision3 and one is Threadbanger which is a DIY thing that is fascinating.
They are all like bonbons in my candy dish!
