Meet my new bank!

I found one. That meets all my criteria...

Key Bank. Their bricks are 1 mile from here conveniently located next door to Krispy Kreme!!

Their online account setup is very smartly done. No fancy, no flash, just perfectly smart and efficient and no waiting on the server. Got the account all set up. They allowed funding through my debit card which is sure easy. Once it got set up, I logged in and set up transfers to my other two banks. They went through fine. They are pending, of course, for now. But, I'm quite satisfied.

I happen to have some knowledge of that bank, and I like them. They're proactive, they have a great company culture that really rewards people who care enough to do a good job, they work really hard at trying to only bring people on board who care enough to do a good job, they encourage excellence, ongoing learning, and achievement, and they are hard-core on keeping client info secure and having efficient, sensible processes that actually get followed consistently. I like how they treat their staff; I even like how they handle themselves and their employees in less than ideal circumstances - they provide great resources and support. If it wasn't such a pain to change banks, I'd likely be using them myself. I suspect they'll do quite well by you.

Wow! that's fabulous! One of the things that tipped the scale, was that I called to confirm that online transfers to other institutions was possible and was delighted that:

1. The phone rang 2 times and an actual person answered. Big pts no telephone tree.
2. The actual person (Jerry) understood my question off the bat and cheerfully answered it himself. Big pts for no malarky and no transferring or putting on hold.

Now having read your comment, I understand that this was by very good design and I'm delighted. My main bank is still my credit union but, heck, that could change! I just told Mint about the new bank and it scarfed up the info easily.

The whole donut benefit isn't even the best one. Who whudda thot that?

I have been very happy with Key Bank since I moved here. I went with them because I didn't already hate them and they had a branch very near work. They have been so nice and accommodating! Several times I have gotten account upgrades that I didn't quite meet the published qualifications for, and they have always been great about fixing problems (not that I've need that often).

Glad to hear they meet the susandennis seal-of-approval for customer service!
