Lovely Day
Aug. 29th, 2009 08:44 pmIt was a pretty full and very nice day.
I did make a dozen twice baked potatoes and they are in the freezer. Then I sat down to finish the kitty. I'm actually quite pleased with her. She's a breeze to knit and she looks just fine, I think.

Then it was off to see
machupicchu's significant other in his movie premiere. I needed to make a quick stop at the grocery on the way and discovered, to my delight, that it is Candy Corn season again!! Fresh candy corn, oh how I love thee. (And, yes, I know you can buy it year round but, to me, it always tastes bast 'in season'.)

Then on to the movie. They live in a condo that has a little movie screening room. It is very cool and has a popcorn machine.

The name of the movie is Blank. It is a slasher movie and while that's not my usual genre, I think it's safe to say that this one might not be the best but Shobhit was fabulous.
He's actually in the trailer at the 0:44 mark. That's him in the handsome pink bathrobe. It was fun and I do hope I get invited to all his premieres.
As I was leaving, I spied the Gert's BBQ truck across the street. I was not the least bit hungry but I've been dying to try his stuff. So I got some ribs and fried. I don't have to do that again. The fries were undercooked the the ribs were caked in salt and I love salt but this was too much even for me.
The Mariners are winning and I think I'll start on an elephant!

Date: 2009-08-30 04:32 am (UTC)You know, I started to get a bag of pumpkins and didn't. Next time. I haven't had pumpkins in several years. Time to branch out!

Any time I show a movie with Shobhit, you've got an open invitation! But I'll still include you on any official invite lists just to make double sure.
You're welcome to join us for any other Movie Nights I host at the Braeburn theatre, although I'm not sure how interested you'd be in a lot of the movies we watch. We're doing Jurassic Park II & III in October, for instance, but that doesn't strike me as particularly your cup of tea. Unless, of course, Shobhit were in them -- but, alas, he wasn't!
