Those are SO cool! I want to learn how to do socks. My friend Kehf on my friends list loves handmade socks (she says she has oversized calves) and it would be neat to make her some. How long does it take you to make a pair? Are they difficult to do? (I haven't knitted since I was a kid, and I wasn't particularly good at it, then.)
I hate to discourage anyone from knitting - especially someone who is a beginner but I'm not sure I'd take up socks for a starter project. On the other hand, if you are so motivated, it couldn't hurt. Worst case, you'd be out maybe $10 in yarn and the cost of your needles... so why not? There are a lot of patterns and instructions for socks on the web... google for it and see what you turn up.
Size 0's? I did not know or did not focus on your using such tiny needles. That really must look wonderful!
I am totally indebted to you for turning me on to this yarn. Even with uggy colors, it is a joy to work with. It's kind of like reading a good book. You get just-one-more-chapter-itis only it's just-one-more-repetition-itis. It's hard to put the stuff down.
I've got two more of the jaquard's - different colors - then I'm done. I need to make a dozen pair out of some other sock yarn before Christmas so I can't be futzing around with the fancy stuff.
