susandennisI've had plenty of work hours recently. I'm ready for a break but I figure the famine will come soon enough so I'm just gathering the acorns now. It's fine but my neck has laptopitis. They are having a massage special at the gym cause they have a new massager. I just made an appointment for tomorrow at 2:30. I have had full body massages about 3 times and hated them all. I'm a neck/shoulder/upper back massagee. And, I only have patience for about 30 mins worth but we will see...

I've had my HD TV for several years. But, it was only last spring that I got the digital feed from Comcast to make it really HD. From the beginning I was confused. All of the local channels have HD versions but, honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference. I usually watch the HD versions of those channels. But, for the rest, I'm catch as catch can. I may watch A&E or I may watch A&EHD. Since most of the A&E shows I watch aren't in HD, I don't really pay attention.
I was mostly interested in HD for baseball. Our baseball comes on 30 (FSN) and 627 (FSNHD). Something I read on one forum or another led me to believe that the signal was the same on both and if you were viewing via digital (like Comcast), you saw HD on 30 and if not, you got regular 30. So I made my season pass for 30.
Today, the broadcaster announced that for today's game they were going to have this graphic of where all the pitches were going in the lower right hand corner of the screen. I noticed after a couple of batters that I wasn't seeing it.
I flipped to 627 and holy fuckin' nuns and mamas. It is CLEARLY HD and 30 is absolutely not. All summer long I've been cheating myself.
Reminds me of the time my mother would have shot herself herself.
She did not like pop or soda particularly, but she was on this heavy duty diet one summer and discovered that Fanta didn't taste horrible so she drank a lot of it - it kept her from snacking and it wasn't horrible.
After several months of this hard core diet - that was not working for shit - she was in the store one day stocking up on more Fanta and all of a sudden saw that there was Diet Fanta! She thought that all Fanta was diet. She had spent the summer drinking can after can of full sugar that she didn't even like!!
If she had had a gun in her purse, she would have taken herself out right there in front of the chips.
