Last night I experienced a severe knitting hardware failure... my knitting needle broke! I went to my back up which I hate knitting with so I went online and ordered a new one (with a new backup) and decided to work on the sweater a bit.

The sweater may never get finished. I'm not even up to the armpits on the back side yet. It seems wrong to steal time from the toys. But... I think I'll work on it more for the baseball game today and switch back to the toys tonight.

This reminds me of my MIL and her vests she made for Stan and his two sons.
She'd used bargain bin yarn and they were unbelievably bulky.
Those poor kids were so freaked out, they couldn't hide their initial responses.
We some how distracted her and got the kids to get their "grateful" faces on.

I can't remember what we did with the abominations, but we were all happy when those things disappeared.

Your knitting is so even and beautiful.
