Sunrise vacation!
Sep. 25th, 2009 07:41 amI was so tired last night I could barely get to sleep. But, I did and then popped up about 5:30 to get started again only there wasn't much to start. I had three little bugs which I polished off and nothing else. So, I've had a free morning at least so far.
I finally got my master card account added to Mint. For some reason - reading through the forums - Mint and Key Bank have not had an easy time of it. Apparently all is now forgiven but the credit card bit is still hinky. I think I got that unhinked this morning.
We have a bug bash today. Starting at 8. About a dozen people are given sections of one of the websites we've been working on. Their mission is to comb over their allotted pages and find any and all issues, problems, typos, questions, anything that does not look ready for prime time. I have a set of pages to comb through myself.
Then the site managers compile all the issues and basically turn most of them over to me to fix. Some go to the smarter guys if they are complicated but most come to me. I call it Continued Employment.
We're not supposed to start until 8 so I'm killing time waiting. I could be cleaning the kitchen or even going to the gym. But, I'm not. I will probably do both later.
It sounds like there might be weekend work as well. I can mix that in with a trip to the library to pick up holds and a trip to the grocery to pick up cat food.
It is deliciously cool. Another treat for the weekend is that I will roll my beloved air conditioner into its shed for the winter. It's done such a wonderful job. I'm pretty sure this is the latest in the year I have ever called up on for service. But, it's time for it to rest now and get ready for next Summer.
Last winter and spring, before it got hot, Travis picked up this habit of burrowing under my blanket on the bed or under the bath mat in the bathroom. I wondered if the habit would return with cool weather and I'm delighted to report that it has. There is very little more wonderful that having a soft, warm cat draped across your feet under the covers when it's chilly.
Time to get more coffee for the bug hunt.
