Sucked into the computer
Oct. 6th, 2009 06:09 pmWork was about half today but it was the kind of work that demanded full attention and focus. The bits in between were filled with the new computer - getting it all set up.
It's beautifully bright and sharp screen makes my work laptop look like it was dropped in the mud and not wiped off very well.
I recently learned that the group policy editor is missing from XP home and today I found out that it's also missing from Vista home. Stupid and inconvenient.
But, everything is pretty much set up now. Just like my picky self likes it.
That sucker has one heck of a battery. I ran it on battery only today for 5 hours and when I plugged it back in, the little meter thing said I still had more than an hour. Holy crap.
Now I'm all done with work and computer play and I'm on to sock monkey knitting and TiVo cleanup - maybe I'll check on that Detroit game. I promised a friend I would hope hope hope they made it to the playoffs.
