Productive!

I now have nearly everything from yesterday's list finished. Ok, not the vacuuming... but I did take a vote and it was decided that the better move would be to wait until Thursday for that.

This morning I did my appraisal. Turns out, if I left this company it would fucking go under in about 10 minutes. That's exactly how critical I am to the operation. But, anyway, it is done and they can just kiss my ass.

And speaking of companies, this morning I read in the paper that one I helped get started now has a Brazilian component! This outfit was my first web client in 1995. I did their first website. They still owe me $3,000. But, I do have stock. Maybe someday it will even be worth something.

Next I think I'll take those ebay photos and then whip up a little pouch for my Treo - one with a little pocket for the handsfree wire. I spent a lot of time last night playing with this thing - checking and sending email and web browsing and playing with the games. It's great fun and is going to be perfect for the trip to Mom's.

I leave on the red eye Thursday. I'm taking Thursday off because I want to.

It is just appalling how badly stuctured the company you work for is. Thank Heavens they have somebody as conscientious as you to keep them running. You should remind them of it.

That's actually the gist of my appraisal... Well, the first draft anyway. The second draft let them save a little face, but the underlying truth isn't lying too far under...
