daiso haulI did a loooong walk to get to the first place where they had no good baskets with lids but I did get a good idea so then on to the second place. I was trying to avoid a big hill and failed miserably and nearly killed myself in the process.

If I ever want to climb a steep hill again, I need to seriously ratchet up the gymness. Or I could just go the long, flat way... which I think I will from now on!

I stopped in Daiso and had a ball. They completely reordered the joint so I had to relook at everything and made quite the nice haul. Everything in there is $1.50 unless marked otherwise. Not much is marked otherwise. Everything in the picture was $1.50 each. If you click on the picture it will take you to Flickr were I annotated some of the more strange things and/or you can click on the giant size and see the details.

Plus I learned that there is a new store across the street from my Japanese grocery!! I ran out of steam today or I would have checked it out.

There was a fair amount of rain but nothing show stopping and it was not cold. In fact, under even my light weight raincoat I managed to work up a mighty sweat.

I did get to Blue C Sushi. The new one is very pretty. Very and a lovely place to eat. The food was good but the selection wasn't full range and the service sucked mightily. There were a lot of people there to serve but they seemed to be more interested in chatting with each other and doing stuff other than waiting on people - particularly me. Kind of annoying.

Now I'm going to put my stuff away and put my feet up. They are tired.

I love Daiso. I'll take a picture the next time I go there. I get soo much stuff! Have you tried Pocky?

I make us all bento lunches every day - well, Geordie and Merrie every day and me, twice a week (when I'm in school). I love making them, but it does force me to be creative with leftovers. *grin*

I so wish we had Daiso's on the east coast. We have a couple bigger asian markets, not too terribly far from where I am, but they're more Korean than Japanese. (Nothing wrong with the Korean aspect, but I'd really love a place that was more Japanese stuff.)

That certainly was your kind of shopping! Looks like fun & I wish we had that store in the Philly area.
