Me du jour
Oct. 18th, 2009 11:27 amAnother lovely Sunday morning. I slept late, piddled around, showered, dressed and hit the bus tunnel. I went to the end of the tunnel and walked yet a new route. The end of the tunnel takes me far enough so that the routes from there to brunch are nearly endless. I did discover that the downtown grocery store is open before 10 which might well come in handy one day.
On to brunch which was good, as usual. My waiter was busy so he just brought my bloody mary without asking me first if I wanted it but he did stop long enough to tell me that they are going to change menus and one of my favorites is retiring so that saved on decision making.
I'll be interested to see what the new menu has in store but it's going to have to wait 2 weeks. My friend, Arlene is coming to town next Sunday for our annual Crab Pot lunch.
And speaking of annual... I think tomorrow I'm going to head south, to Renton. To Ikea and Wal-mart and Fry's. Or at least Ikea and Wal-mart. The holiday shopping season is going to kick in soon and I want to get there and get my annual dose of cheap and get home before the rush. My project manager is out tomorrow so I know there won't be work. Seems like the perfect time.
Now it is the perfect time to watch CBS Sunday Morning!
Oh! and p.s. Travis brought me no yarn last night! I can't believe my 'lid' worked - I think he just got bored with the plan. Ya gotta love a kitty with ADD.

Date: 2009-10-18 09:58 pm (UTC)I love your Sunday adventures. Reminds me of a time when I had that kind of freedom and, though bringing up the kids has its pluses, I'm looking forward to having freedom (and time) to wander and explore again!

Date: 2009-10-18 10:03 pm (UTC)The CraBBBB Pot http://www.pier57seattle.com/restaurants.html it's a kind of touristy restaurant not far from here. they dump a load of boiled shell fish and corn and potatoes into the middle of your table then give you butter and bibs. Arlene and I are the only two of us who love this so we do it about once a year.
I do treasure my Sunday (and Saturday) adventures and know how lucky I am to have the freedom to do them. Your day will come...
