. . Finally indeed! Except I still don't see any easy way to filter the search down to my own journal, which has always been the primary reason behind any desire I had for a search function. . .
click on 'advanced search' - you can filter by all kinds of ways, including your journal and mine! Last night I found an entry of mine in 2 secs that I would have never been able to find without.
. . I did click on "advanced search" -- and when I searched a word I know has been posted many times, it yields nothing. This happens when I put either my username alone or the full URL to my journal (it's not clear to me which I'm supposed to do?) in the "in journal or community" window. Either it's not working for me or I just don't get how to use the search function. . .
. . Okay, I'm thinking maybe my journal hasn't been indexed or something. I just searched for "gym" in "susandennis" and got 977 results.
The word I had been trying and getting nothing in "machupicchu" is "dream." Then I tried "shobhit" -- the only word I could think of as comparable in frequency to your use of the word "gym" -- and I did get results! Three of them. One hit in my journal and two in comments. The hell? . .
You are right! It works for everyone but you! That is some kind of weird. I just searched 'dance' for jwg's journal (he and rsc do a lot of dancing) and I got a likely number of hits Searches my journal nicely, too. But, I'm getting the same results as you are in with your journal. Very strange.
