Is there anyone lazier than me?? Anyone?

Ok, first of all, this whole entry is being made as a stalling tactic. After I finish this, I must vacuum. No more excuses. I must do it.

I have packed. Well, as packed as I'm going to be. See, Mom lives in this fancy place that is also in the South which is pretty fancy on any day. My fanciest Seattle clothes barely make the 'casual wear' mark in Charleston. And no way would I ever wear Charleston clothes here. So I keep a set at Mom's. I keep the essentials there, too - toothbrush, shampoo, hairdryer, etc. She has space and I hate to tote.

I could very well be the lightest packer you know anyway. I once went to New Zealand for 3 weeks with a bag that fit under my airline seat and a purse. Usually my critical supply of enough reading material takes up the most room.

But with all my stuff at Mom's, I need only my books, my Treo (phone, address book, game machine all in one) and my purse (which is about the size of a paperback book). Oh and my camera and some batteries. It's all together now and it's ready to go.

Ok... this is it. That giant sucking sound is me finally turning on the vacuum cleaner.

Leaving tonight on the red eye... And if it's as cold as it was last night, I'll need to take my jacket because I take the metro bus to their airport and will have to wait at the stop a bit. Won't my fleece jacket come in handy in South Carolina? They will probably think it's a pet!

I rushed over to your cameras so I could see live footage of you doing manual labor.....but I guess I missed it!!! Man that would've been a rare vision!!!! LOL!

What about something to knit? I like to work on needelepoint when I visit my Mom and sometimes even on the plane. Maybe not on the redeye, always just try to sleep and feel awful when I wake up after dozing.

Ah... I'm not a big plane knitter - it's just too much stuff to mess with. BUT, I did think ahead and mailed myself some great new sock yarn and needles to Mom. Cost me $.60 to mail and they are waiting for me there. I did a couple of visits with no knitting and it just wasn't fun. Socks are the perfect project and I have some yarn I've been saving just for this purpose. I'll mail them back to me before I leave. Pretty darned, crafty, eh???
