susandennisIt is very strange to be here after dinner getting ready to get into bed to read my book and click on my webcams and see daylight in my living room. Jake and Betty must be busy out of camera range.
Mom said today that she thinks she has enough technology to keep her busy 24/7 (this was her cool new phrase before she learned bling bling - I think she wanted me to know she still knows it).
She's wearing on me a bit and she's not that health. The bursitis has her fairly incapacitated. She has borrowed an electric scooter and has managed to run into most of the furniture, turn over a lamp and nick the plaster out of several corners. But, without it, she'd be house bound. She gets up slowly. Stands for a good 20 seconds before the first step and then takes about one step every 5 seconds. She says it's 'soooo much better than it was.'
And her eyes don't adjust to light any more. The bright light of outside (even when it isn't that bright) and glaring lights reflected off of mirrors make her dizzy and then when she moves away from them into a darker situation she gets even more dizzy. Seriously dizzy. Tomorrow she goes to back to her doctor again. I think it's all the drugs she is on reacting to something or something.
She's fairly ok with my meddling into her finances but she's not too comfortable with my meddling into her health stuff. Which is fine by me. I'm very comfortable with her finances but anything medical makes me nuts in a heartbeat.
I really will be so glad to get home. I like taking care of only me.
