Tomorrow it is back to work. Kinda. Gone for 6 days, back for one and the the long holiday weekend. It's Memorial Day for all of those outside of the U.S. Tomorrow I'll catch up - I've been checking email all along so there won't be any surprises. And my list of stuff that needs to be done tomorrow is not too long and full of nuts and bolts things.

I need to check with Kenny to see what office hyjinx I missed and it's Free Pizza Friday... Plus the nimnode that passes for what little HR we actually do have generally sends out a note mid-afternoon the day before a holiday weekend letting everyone go home early. I'm not anticipating a ball buster, in other words.

Saturday I have an appointment to get my contact lens prescription checked. And that about wraps up my plans for the weekend. Baseball, knitting, reading and screwing around will fill in the gaps. I am really looking forward to it.

The latest word from Mom was a short email with a bit of a tone to it saying she was too busy for a long note but wondering why I had to wait until she was - and I quote - 80-fucking-years-old to get her a Tivo. She is an original. When she goes, the mold will go with her.
