So, I've been rebuilding the intranet at work. A whole new scheme in four sections and I'm doing a section at a time. I have one section done and another half done and a third a little done. First unveiling to my manager today at 2. I finished all the needed work last Friday and set aside today at noon to double check and fix anything that needed fixing.

Nothing did! It's looking pretty darned good if I do say so myself. Now we'll see what she says. No telling there.

In the continuing Mom tales. Turns out she's expecting the doctor, any day now, to stop driving the car (which she should) and she's been working on her argument against (giving it up). She went this morning armed and ready to battle and he didn't mention it. I think she was really disappointed.

About 3 months ago they came in at work and polished the floors. In the process they switched everyone's chair. I noticed it Monday morning but was not smart enough to track down my own chair immediately. I wrongly figured I could make any old chair work.

Wrong. I have never been able to get the height right since. My mouse arm and shoulder is killing me. I've tried raising the chair and lowering the chair and today I even tried one of those under the counter pullout drawers for keyboard and mouse. What idiot designed that???? I'm doomed.

A career in professional bowling is gone to me now.

I am a nut about my chair at work. I have it set just right so that I am comfortable. I was out one day and someone borrowed my chair and changed the height on it!!! When I came in the next day I knew immediately just by looking at it. I felt a meltdown coming on. It was like someone had changed my reality. It took me a few days to get it back to where it felt right again.

Second to that is when I take my car in for repair and they move the car seat back. I always fall in and fall back...whoa!!!

Funny how you just get used to something that fits your body like that. :)

You think you have chair problems?! A few months ago, my chair in the home office (aka "the computer room", "Andy's disaster area", etc.) started misbehaving. I have it all set to the height, etc. that I want, but when I stand up, it sometimes rises with me. As though I had lifted the height adjustment lever. So when I go to sit down, it is way too high.

Or I may go to sit down and it will suddenly sink to its lowest setting.

Very annoying. Even though it's only about 2 years old, I think I will have to replace it. Julie has offered to swap me chairs, since she hsan't had the problem when using mine, but I'm afraid I'm a jinx....
