Yum and street walking for work...
Feb. 6th, 2010 06:13 pmI went across the parking lot and into the International District for dinner. I wandered around several blocks trying to get inspired and finally landed in HoHo Seafood. It's an old standby and I just wasn't up for breaking in a new place. But, I probably should have. It was family night at HoHo. Obnoxious Caucasian entitled kids who really really really needed to be home with babysitters. And, probably, and so... service sucked.
But, the food was good.
Then I wandered towards home. I got about halfway there when I encountered a couple with suitcases and lost looks looking the the Amtrak station. They were nearly on top of it but on weekends, how to get in there isn't obvious. So I led them over and around. On the way we chatted. He used to work for Microsoft but from their home in Salt Lake. I pointed to my condo and told them I lived and worked there. When he asked me what I did, I said websites and he wanted to hire me on the spot. I did give him my card and told him I'd help him find someone. (I'm sure his requirements are over my head technically, but I know peops.) They were nice - Linda and Von. If you find your way here, I'm impressed and it was fun to meet you.
Now I'm watching the news and trying to control my snow envy.

Ha! Okay, that actually makes three of us -- we all think the Puppy Bowl is dumb. But I still think a Puppy Bowl Party is fun! Especially with Kraft Cheez Wiz dip.
Maybe we should start having a Super Bowl Commercials party. But only on years when the commercials aren't lame.
