Knitting and Taxes...

susandennisMy friend, Arlene, asked me when we met for brunch several weeks ago, if she could pursue my real estate tax issue. She's trying to start her own business handling management stuff and loves fighting the good fight so I said sure! I sent her my log of communications with GMAC/USAA asking them to quit paying my taxes. And my log with the county asking them to stop sending the bill to other people.
She picked the USAA route and today sent me a note that her contact there reported success and I should be hearing from them shortly. I'm encouraged but not convinced yet.
Her note said 'she [contact] gave me an address for my invoice but I thought I'd hold off until you got the official letter from them.' Invoice??? Turns out she thinks USAA will pay her for this. I think that's brilliant. I had not nor would I ever even considered that but I think it's amazingly cool. I hope she gets a bundle of $$.

I devoted the rest of today to finishing the Bear pattern. What a pain. I hate pattern writing but it is done. Whew. And added to Ralvery. http://susandennis.org/knitting/teddy
I discovered that my websites badly need a clean up. Links, backup, style, everything just needs tweaking. 15 years of futzing has produced junk! I need to unjunk but not today.
