It's raining a little - Seattle rain - between a drizzle and light rain - the kind of rain that people bitch so much about not being about to go out cause of. So I was expecting everyone to stay home - wrong. I went to Geraldine's in Columbia City for breakfast and I think I'm not going to do that any more. The wait was terrible and they really don't like single diners and there were a million and a half kids under the age of 3 most of whom were using the flatware as drumsticks and the table as a drum. The adults they were with were oblivious.

On the upside when I got done the first nail place I walked by had an opening in the schedule so I got my nails done. I got them very much shorter - they were looking like coke spoons.

The train back to town was standing room only and everyone who did not have 2.5 small children had 2.5 pieces of luggage. This is the same train that you take from the airport to town. When EVERYONE got off at the International District, it finally dawned on me that today is the last day of Chinese New Year. The joint was jumpin. The car traffic was gridlocked. I walked over to make sure the Daiso store had closed like they said it would after January and it was open!! They did not have the brushes I wanted but I still had fun wandering around looking at stuff. That store never ever fails to fascinate me.

Now home and glad to be here. I think there is some knitting that needs to be done.

Well, Susan, if you ever do need to snort some coke, you can use my fingernails! Why? Because I'm a good friend, that's why.
