Today is the first day in months that I've had a full day of work. My brain is fried and it's only 2:30! I forgot to stop for lunch but I'll grab something after this 2:30 conf call. It's lovely work - just the right amount of new technical stuff to figure out with no idiots on the team. The client could use a strong talking to but, happily for all concerned, I'm two or three managers removed from the client.

So I'm just figuring out the new (to me) system and copying a pasting and checking and having a good, billable, time.

Front Door TV Network has been up and down all day - mostly down.

And, that, my chicks is all I know so far today. I'm probably going to knock off work about 4ish and go get the mail and knit and get dinner and watch some junk TV and get ready to do it again tomorrow. Whew. Maybe now I'll have enough cash to pay my income tax bill now. That would be lovely.

I don't know if I could handle going to a real job again. But people keep sending me job leads, so it could happen.

I was kind of surprised by how very much I enjoyed it. Part of it was learning new stuff but, a real part of it was the caliber of the people I'm working with. It's a group of about 6, only 1 of whom I've worked with before. They are all so helpful and encouraging and sharp and funny. It was a fun day and promises to be a a fun few weeks.
