The server that housed a lot of the photos I've used in LJ crashed and burned week before last. I had everything backed up except, of course, the photos I've used in LJ. Sigh.

I had a pretty good one of Jake and a pretty good one of Betty and they are both now gone. Blast. Betty is busy this morning but Jake agreed to sit for a new portrait.



I now have two local backups of ALL photos including the LJ ones.

Have you set up a seperate directory on your pc with lj photo's? I guess that might be a good idea.

I have now ... I had been pretty slap dash about the journal jpgs. Now I am quite methodical... I have them in a directory on my PC, backed up to a removeable harddrive as well as on the web server. Experience is such an effective teacher...
