Jan. 5th, 2003 10:42 amSeveral years ago I was in a furniture store buying a couch and the sales guy sat on a couch to fill out the paper work. He reached down and popped the top on the coffee table in front of him and it magically came up to a nice height in just the right place. I immediately added it to my order and it's been wonderful. I would like it to be a bit higher quality but it sure works. When I get filthy rich and hire my interior decorator, I will get that decorator to find me a wood working artist to fashion me a high toned one. Until then...
This is it normally with the top down.

This is it with the top up.

And another view.

It opens very easily with a flick of the wrist so to speak and has that elevator action to close - meaning it kind of glides down instead of plummets.

Date: 2003-01-06 10:32 pm (UTC)and indeed, we had looked at these probably about 8 or 9 years ago when we were out looking at 'home theatre' stuff.
yeah. about 8 or 9 years ago, when I was still worried about small fingers getting smashed or nipped off in something like that. so, we didn't get it.
