kjaz reminded me of the Oldenburgs in Minnesota which got me to remembering Duane Hansen who was from Minnesota originally. I was surprised that I was not able to find more about him with a simple google. One of his pieces looked just like my Uncle Granville - I'd love to find a jpg of that one! Hansen's son is a physician here in Seattle and a couple of years ago one of the local art museums had a small Hansen show. It was wonderful.

Yes! Exactly!! He's the one who did the famous museum guard that everyone goest to for directions and the policeman, etc. If you ever see that his work is going to be anywhere RUN to go see it.
