This is really more of a gym delaying entry than actual content. Just thought it was important to get that up front.
I have a meeting from 2-4 today at Microsoft. I'll probably leave here between 12 and 12:30 and then go get lunch when I get there. I've had a pizza jones for a while and they do have good pizza
which I can get by the slice at one of their cafes between the bus stop and the building where my meeting is.
I really don't mind making the trip today except I know by then it will be very sunny and hot and I so dread hauling my 4 ton computer around in the glaring hot sun. Plus, I think the late afternoon busses are pretty much standing room only. Ugh. Still way better than driving. The baseball game will be on AM radio. Wonder if I have an old, small one around here that I could throw in my backpack. I'll bet I do...
This morning it is cloudy and wonderfully cool. I wonder how I developed my intense intolerance for heat and sun? It really came about, I think about the time of menopause. I never really got hot flashes but, instead, I kind of picked up a personal global warming. I'm rarely cold. I do not use any heat in my house all winter. This morning, on my walk over to the gym, I'll pass people on the street in fleece coats and probably even one with gloves. I'll be in a lose short sleeved t-shirt and shorts.
I'm sure much of my issue is psychological - more a fear of being hot than actual hot. I know if I get chilly, I can put on a sweater or socks. I know if I get hot, there's not a thing in the world I can do.
Ok, enough rambling. Time to get to the gym and get that behind me for the day.
