I know you have all put your lives on hold waiting for the picture of my new kitchen rug. Wait no more...



This is Jake's idea of kitty heaven. He gets into the photo while snacking. No way it gets any better than this.

It's a nice Saturday morning here... I've been tidying up stuff and doing little exciting chores. I'm thinking that possibly a trip down to the dumpsters with my latest pile o' trash would be a good thing to do. I might combine it with the check mail trip - no sense in wasting ergs.

It is not yet 10 a.m. and already nearly 60 degrees. This is not right.

But, on the up side, the Mariner game is televised today. That is absolutely right.

You know, lately I've been rethinking my storage... The oven has now become major storage which has really helped. I got some baskets and bowls and pitchers at the GoodWill recently for storage of spoons and knives and counter stuff. Plus, like you, I've moved a lot of the big ticket items that I don't use as much off the counter. (Rice cooker went into the oven. The blender and food processor are in a cabinet and virtually unavailable but it's probably been more than a year since I've used either...)

And, yeah, I thought about going with something bold in the rug but decided on subtle instead...

Finally - I can sleep. It is quite lovely!

Now somewhere I have some pictures of me taken at a very early age (like 2 days) lying nekkid on a rug. Not trying to give you any ideas, but does your webcam extend to the kitchen??????

Nice rug Susan, and I mean the one that's on the floor; sorry just couldn't resist that. I've been checking out your fridge accoutrements, but haven't found the pin the clothes on naked "David". Did I miss it? Perhaps a pic of your fridge door is in order.
Is that the new toaster oven one the left in the background?

Sadly, no naked David (but I do have a fridge magnet somewhere of David Sedaris's book entitled Naked... it might be on the fridge... hmmmm)

My version of the magnetic naked David is a cat with outfits that Sherry and Lee gave me for Christmas.

A photo of the fridge is not a bad idea... not a bad idea at all...

Ohhh I am so happy to have you back!! And as a welcome back treat, I took a special photo of that multicolored thing behing the sink. It's a cheap plastic tray that a caterer left at work one time. I love it.
