From the Terrace Tidbit
Mar. 15th, 2003 12:42 pmI was just checking on the action off my terrace and discovered that someone has set up a little train station (on the right there) and brought in a little train and they are taking kids for rides around the plaza.

There is always something going on around here.
According to the info sheet in the elevator, tomorrow morning is, indeed, the St. Patrick's day run which ends up here. Camera will be ready.

Date: 2003-03-15 02:13 pm (UTC)I live on the 4th floor (American floors - meaning 1 is on the ground) of an old railroad warehouse that was turned into condos. There is one floor of more condos above me so it's kind of a mid-rise. The building just behind the train is the Seattle Seahawks stadium.
If you look dead out my terrace you see the stadium parking lot - stadium over to the left and the International District (Chinatown) dead ahead. Downtown Seattle is to the right and Mt. Ranier is to the left behind the stadium.
It's am amazing place to live - except we have no cool llamas and no snow and we're way more than a quick train ride from Toronto.

When we lived in Toronto we always lived downtown, maybe not quite as far downtown as you, but certainly to our work acquaintances we were downtown. We were within a 15-20 minute walk of all the stores and office towers so fairly close. And I wouldn't live anywhere else in the city. If you're going to live in the city then do so, not the suburbs. They aren't anywhere(Is that good English?).
