The old Baby Corner

I called and she said she had room for bears so I delivered. This is the current, soon to be old, Seattle Baby Corner. It used to be a dentist's office. It is really sad and really old and not in a good way.

The Baby Corner lady, who's name, I think is Jeanne, said they have not inked the deal yet but it looks like the new space will be a couple of blocks from here which would be very handy for me.

She also told me that she has a free prenatal clinic who beg for bears. They line them up and use them to bribe mothers into coming in for their prenatal checkups. She says the clinic says the bears are doing a great job. I love that.

I know I've told you before, but I so admire what you do with the bears. You are doing something so good and generous and also with such positive spin-offs, like them being able to bribe the mothers in for their check-ups. You are giving in a such a wonderful way.

I do appreciate your words, I do. I always feel guilty that I have time and a car and don't do more in terms of volunteering but I'm so bad at that kind of thing. I'm so much better at bear making so I make as many as I possibly can in hopes it makes up for my not delivering meals on wheels or taking old people to the doctor.

But you're delivering bears on wheels, or helping deliver them - and you're getting two people to the doctor at a go. It takes all sorts of assistance - and I think your bears are an important (and very cute) part of that.
