I'm not sure what this update is updating but the message that there will be no access to the corporate network without it came in loud and clear so I'm updating... It came in when I was ready to hang it up for the day anyway. So... no biggie.

UPS finally got here. And these Birkenstocks are the correct ones. They fit fine and actually feel good and my toes can breathe and if one is required to wear shoes then this one is ok with these. Whew. I can even sit crosslegged - which I do most of the day - without having to take them off.

Ahhh machine is back and lookin' fine and all seems to be under control. Time to start my evening. My empty bear chair is mocking me. No baseball tonight. Junk tv, here I come. Starting with the junkiest. Local news!

The update patches an easily exploited security hole in Windows--and one that every Windows system is vulnerable to.

For some reason, Windows executes code when it tries to draw file icons. If you put a file on a USB key with some bad code that runs when the USB key is inserted, boom! You can infect a Windows PC just by inserting an infected USB key, without you doing anything else.

That's bad!
