Ha ha - it's not that cold but it sure has cooled off and it feels so good. It's now back to Cool Enough To Knit Comfortably which is my temperature of choice for sure.

And, speaking of knitting... I got new yarn today. Three afghans' worth - three different colors. Two of the colors are new yarns I am going to try. I always knit with the same yarn because it is a good size, very soft to knit with and makes a very soft afghan. It also machine washes beautifully. And it's dirt cheap. But, it only comes in about 4 non-icky colors.

So I'm auditioning new yarns. One of the colors I got is a verigated one and I'll need to find a good pattern for it - something without too much pattern action but not too dull that I'll hate doing it.

Yarn has gotten so very expensive and it's getting more and more difficult to find good acrylics - which I need because my blankets have to be able to be just tossed into the washer and generally a big industrial sized washer and come out pretty and fluffy and soft and clean.

Knitting seems to be becoming more popular these days so maybe the selections will get better. But, until then, I have a nice, healthy stash.

I so understand. I love it when I open a big box of yarn. You'd make a good knitter. It's all about color and texture - at least the knitting I do is.
