It's silly question time. Who's the boss, between these two? And where do you fit in?

I am the boss - I pay the rent and buy AND serve the food. Betty is next in line because she's fast and smart and has claws. (It occurs to me that these three attributes apply to me as well.... hmmmm) Jake is the bottom of the food chain. He's slow and old and has no claws but is the sweetest of the three of us.

That sounds so like a George and Martha book! All Jake needs is a red bowtie, and Betty needs the red flower by her ear :D
