I love my town
Jun. 20th, 2003 02:44 pmI've lived in four time zones and a dozen states and a bunch towns but Seattle is the very best.
This afternoon I took the free bus to the other end of downtown and meandered home from there - stopping in at various little shops to browse and wandering through Pike Place Market and strolled on home from there. It has cooled down a whole bunch and it rained this morning so the air was crisp. The tourists were out and curious and fun to watch. There were some new shops I hadn't ever seen before and some old favorites. I didn't buy anything, just strolled and looked and wandered and soaked in the city. It was a nice little outing.

Date: 2003-06-20 03:22 pm (UTC)But, I was just thinking of you. I put my feet up and flipped on the TV. I had recorded a Parkinson that I hadn't watched yet. One of the guest was Ricky Gervais. You were very right about Office so I only saw it that once but Ricky Gervais was pretty hilarious on Parkinson. I do need you, tho, to sit here and translate about half of the stuff. Next time, I'm going to back up and take notes and send you all my questions!

Date: 2003-06-21 04:57 am (UTC)Been to San Fran, haven't had a chance to visit your fair city...not yet anyway. Everyone I've ever talked to that's been there (or lives there) raves about it.

Seattle is big enough and organized enough to have a wide variety of price range in living expenses in a variety of neighborhoods - renting and owning. It has a lot of what northern California has but in a livable way. Plus we have better weather, more tolerable traffic and way nicer people.
