And... she's off! almost

susandennisNeedless to say, I slept the calm, restful sleep of a 7 year old on Christmas Eve. I finally just got up about 6 and piddled around on the internet and played some games.
I'm on the way now to the shower. Then, it's get dressed and go. It's raining but the only real exposure I have is walking across the stadium parking lot. From here it's mostly covered to the train tunnel and then all covered til Las Vegas. It always used to rain when I was leaving to go to Mom's. I'd take an umbrella or throw away poncho and then give them to the rental car people when I got to the airport. They were always grateful to have them to offer their customers.
Today I don't have any rain gear I want to toss so I honestly think it's going to be kitchen trash bag time. I don't mind getting wet, particularly since anecdotal evidence proves I do not melt, but I'd just as soon not be wet for the trip.
However I am going to get wet now.
