The rest of the story
Jun. 25th, 2003 01:16 pmSo my manager's manager (the new guy who also manages the Fuckchop) comes by for a progress report. I let him know I'm ready to go as soon as I get a good spreadsheet. He suggests (ala
henare) that I provide a prototype of what I needed. I explained that I had - yesterday. He went off to visit with the Fuckchop and lo and behold in less than 5 minutes I had a perfect spreadsheet.
Love to chat, but I have letters to merge...

p.s. Many Many Many thanks to

Date: 2003-06-25 04:54 pm (UTC)I picked up a book by one of my fav authors (David Eddings) that was co-written by his wife Leigh. Now normally, he writes these wonderful fantasy series books (which I have read multiple times and LUV) but this was different.
It was a mystery novel with a slight hint of paranormal stuff that was related to identical twins. Now the weird part:
It was set in Seattle.
It was about twins and they called each other Twinkie.
I think you'll understand why I think you should read "Regina's Song".
If they had actually used the word fuckchop, I would have fell off the lounge chair.
But all in all, I would recommend it - I was glued to it. Not a perfect book, but a damn good read.

Date: 2003-06-25 05:51 pm (UTC)But, I have to admit that Nora Roberts is my guilty pleasure - well not actually Nora but her series written under name JD Robb. They are what I use when I can't find anything to grab me on the shelf and/or I just need a marshmellow of a book. There are about a gazillion in the series and I always have the next two on hand in case of a reading emergency.
