Happy Weekend!!

I am home for the weekend. Whew and yahoo!

I have some web work for work that I need to do this weekend but it's only pretty stuff. My engineering buddy has written the code that does stuff. I have to go into the pages and make them beautiful. I've got the design all mapped out and page 1 done and approved. I need to make a few little buttons and then just pretty up about six other pages. Easy peasy. It will be a nice task while I'm listening to my Saturday morning dose of NPR.

I need a handful of groceries and I'm trying to decide if I can make do with the Japanese market I can walk to or if it's worth getting into the car and doing a supermarket.

Once that's done then it's going to be an afternoon of heavy butt-on-couch-tv-watching-knit-fest. I am at the end of the current afghan and wouldn't mind polisihing it off today so that I can start the next one.

The thrills never stop here. Never. I think it's wonderful how you all manage to follow along even at this break neck pace. Kudos!

Doesn't Scott Simon sometimes drive you crazy? If only he's stop with the laugh!

Scott Simon always drives me crazy. I love it when he's gone and they have subs. But our lineup is pretty good here - SWE until 10. Carguys until 11. That Bill Radke thing that makes me a little nuts - oh, Rewind - and then, the climax, This American Life.

Don't even get me started on Saturday mornings during pledge week. If I ever do myself in, check the schedule... I'll bet there will be a pledge drive going on.

Scott Simon is just so annoying. Like you, we always cheer when NPR sends him to Outer Mongolia or some such place ("Keep him there! Keep him there!" we chant).

We don't get Rewind anymore, but I always enjoyed it...except for Radke's silly little poems.

Do you get Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me? It's the best. Better than Car Talk.

You are right about Radke but the rest of his show is pretty good and a lot of it is back to being local (Seattle). And, yes, we do get Wait, Wait... it's on right after This American Life but we also get it on our other NPR station on Sundays along with .

I use Car Talk to take the trash down, clean the kitchen, do the chores.

I gave serious thought to giving Albertson's another chance. But, in the end, I did the Uwajimaya trip. It was hot, I got too much. I am tired. I hate HomeGrocery for letting us down. poop.
