Amy just read my journal entry about broken wireless and left a simple Buzz asking me if I had tried Winsockfix. I remember Winsockfix from the olden days. I'm talking telephone modem days. No, I had not tried it...
I found it, downloaded it, ran it. It whined mightily that this is a 64 bit machine and it does not work on a 64 bit machine. So I poked some buttons before I shut it down and it did something and then told me to reboot. Ok...
I rebooted and tried the wireless connection and it connected!!!!!
