I'm nearly done with work - probably one more email coming in from YouKnowWho who sent me her last direction addressed 'Hi Tina'. I'm not clear if she's demanding I change my name (probably) or just meant the bug for someone else. As soon as I get a clarification back from her, I'm declaring me done. Day off tomorrow. Yeah!!!

I got the most unusual email a bit ago. It's from a distant cousin. She's really into ancestry and has done a lot of work on the history of my maternal grandmother's side of the family. Apparently, through that, she was contacted by a guy looking for relatives of my Uncle Billy.

Uncle Billy was my Mom's older brother and only sibling. He was killed in World War II in France - within a month or two of my Mom's first husband who was also killed in France. Not a good war for their now much smaller family.

Uncle Billy was married to Joan. They had no kids. Joan married again and had several but I have no clue where she is, what her last name is or if she's still alive.

Uncle Billy went to Oklahoma Military Academy in 1939 and 1940. That school is no longer there but on its site is Rogers State University and they are building a memorial. The hunt for a live relative is so they can send an invitation to the unveiling this summer. I honestly don't care and I don't think my brother does but just in case, I wrote back and volunteered to be their live relative.

Good old Uncle Billy.

Oh, just got an email saying that the bug should have gone to Tina and 'thanks for the second set of eyes'... I'll admit it. There is nothing this woman can do that I won't mock or bitch about. Mostly deserved but maybe not all.

The desk I got from Office Depot - the laptop cart... is actually quite nice - really well put together if I do say so myself. It is a nice height has excellent rolling action. I like it.

I just had a friend from Ravelry (the knitting site) ask me to play Words with Friends. She mentioned her new iPad so I'm pretty sure she does not mean Facebook. I have no clue how to play it but it's installing on my iPad right now. There's no friggin' help screen with this thing. ARugh.

Words with Friends is just another name for Scrabble. I assume that playing it on an iPad is the same as playing it on an iPod. You just have to slide the letters around to where you want to put them.

If it isn't a real word the game won't accept it.

apple stuff doesn't need help screens.. .it's intuitive

And, btw, it must run in the family.. i suck at scrabble also. played the Android version for 3 games. First one the person quit almost immediately, second one I lost by 20 or so points, third one I was down 50 points after the first turn and it went downhill from there. Words I had never even close to heard of arranged in manners I had not even close to seen. You'd think with all my reading I'd have a chance.

I haven't been back.

I've been curious about getting into the Ancestry thing. It would be so much easier though if I had a distant relative willing to do it for me. ;o)
