I've lived in this condo for 19 years. The living room has the only outside wall. Radio reception is not great. FM can be iffy, AM is not possible. The only clocks that set themselves are those connected to the internet. I have a little Sony clock radio that I've had for several years. In a normal house it would set itself. In my house, it does not.

Until last night. Before I went to bed, I set the time one hour back so that my alarm would go off at 6 as usual.

Imagine my confusion when the alarm went off at 5. Oops.

Oh well. I enjoyed an hour of NPR while lying in the dark. I'm ok with getting a head start on the day. I have work work that I really want to get done today and I need to take a walk and get brunch and still snag some weekend tv/knitting time.

Whups. I set a clock forward that I knew would not change long before I went to bed and as foggy headed. That way it hopefully will remind me to reset the other clocks that do not do it on their own. If I forget that, then the computers remind me as soon as I turn them on.

Amazing. Happened to me too, also with a Sony. Confused me because I had turned off the DST feature when I set it last night.
