Travis is having a particularly cat day... He's traded in his naps for running from room to room at high speed, knocking over anything and everything he can and now he's up there on the CPU plotting his next mis adventure.
I could not figure out what I was seeing in the little photo because I kept thinking Travis was on two different towers and suspending his belly over a picture of a city scape. I'm glad I did because now I've seen the picture of the bagpiper and wondering if there is a story.
Of course there is!!! It's in a deep frame that covers up an ugly thermostat.
Oh, wait, you mean why the bagpiper... Well...about 10 years ago, my friend John and I were in New Zealand - on the South Island in a rural area driving by a beautiful lake when we came on a road block. They were doing road work, They told us it would be about an hour's wait. So we got out of the car and wandered around and soon other cars showed up and other people got out and wandered around and one of them was this dude with bagpipes. And he starts playing. I hate bagpipes but there was no way you could hate this. Beautiful sky, beautiful lake, fun people sharing the same hour and this dude serenading us.
Neither John nor I were photographers. I'm not even sure we had a camera with us. So it was an amazing huge treat when, at a bar in another small town about 3 days later we ran into another couple who had been there that day. We were reveling on how amazing it was and John said that he sure wished he'd gotten a photo. And the guy said 'oh I did, want me to send you a copy of the picture?'... Two weeks after we got home, what you see on the wall came in the mail.
