Finally, there was a note posted in the newsgroup that Spamcop had a problem. DUH. The note said that mail was starting to come through. Glad he can see it. I sure can't.

What I really want is an email verification service. I forward all my email to said service. Said service filters it all. Said service checks the whitelist I have created of email addresses and domain names. If there, then send to me (via my special secret address). If not, then reply with plain English, simple to understand instructions for verification. Upon receipt of verification, add to whitelist and send to me.

Said service would not have anything for me to download - not needed. Said service would have both a webpage for news of any problems and an 800 number (or SLA email or IM or something) to report any problem. I don't want a free service. I want to pay to ensure I get the service I want.

I cannot believe there isn't something like this out there. But, I'll be damned if I can find it.

My membership in the ACM gives me this, except for the 1-800 number. If something goes awry, they don't even answer my email. But everything else is there.

Of course, ACM membership isn't for everyone . . .

I am sure they will let you in, but if the only benefit you want is email filtering, the yearly membership dues might be a bit expensive, since the other benefits are not of interest to you.
