I'm sure you will all be happy to hear that you will no longer have to hear about lobster. Ever. It is out of my system. Forever. Geesh. What an expensive, smelly mess. So not worth it. I'm totally over the whole thing. Whew. And a 1.5 lb lobster tail is way more than even I can eat. I shall have lobster salad tomorrow and that will really be the end of it. Whew. But, it couldn't be helped. Once an idea like that gets in my silly brain there's no getting it out except painfully (and, let me tell you, that shell is sharp!). But the deed is done.

ha ha ha RuralBob..I went that route a few weeks ago. Froze many of them, but I just had to have a creme filled and a custard filled chocolate iced Krispy Kreme donut. (contributing to Susan's stock empire)
I was not raised near a KK, unfortunately this is a new taste.
And Susan...as for the lobster talk, I can always enjoy hearing about seafood. You had me going a few days ago, so I gave in and ordered some Crabcakes from home. I just finished one, and it was wonderful.(I only allow myself this treat twice a year due to the prohibitive cost)

There's a distinct taste to Maryland Blue Crab, that I can't match out here.
And now, thanks to you 2, I'm going to want some of my new favorite flavor of Ben and Jerry's. :)

Susan, do I take it from the last commenter that you have shares in Krispy Kreme? If so, I would certainly do my bit to ensure your financual freedom, but we don't have an outlet near here. (We do have the very yummable Tim Horton's, though, whose financial empire I have probably created single-handedly...)

I recently read an article on a brand of FROZEN lobster meat that is getting rave reviews for taste, texture, price and lack of cartlilege (think I am spelling it wrong) I will investigate and let you know.

Even though it truly is lobster country, the reviews of this product were so positive that I think it would be great to buy it and not have to worry about mess and the killing part.

We just saw in a catalog a plastic container (err coffin0 that you put the lobster in. Then you MICROWAVE it to death. Can you imagine. I will stick with immersing the poor thing head first in boiling water.
