It could be my imagination but it appears that Betty is begging for forgiveness. She's not exactly following me around but when I get still for a minute she is there looking up at me. I'll bet she's glad she can't talk so she doesn't have to explain herself.

And Mom came back. Yes, nephew just hit it off button on her computer. She's back in the saddle again. So I was able to get on to her system and make sure she didn't send me any email that needed something. (I sent her a note via hotmail but she doesn't understand how I can send her an email saying my email is broken - we've been through this before. Clearly, I'm smoking something because if my email was broken, I couldn't send her a note...)

And email is still down. I have my ISP forwarding my email to Spamcop (which is what is down). Unfortunately, I have so few Unix skills that I cannot figure out how they set that up. Note to self, call them tomorrow and get them to walk me through the commands so I can unforward when I need to.

Mariner game is now - it's time for them to shape up.

And it's hot... really hot.

Sounds to me like she had some separation anxiety.

So glad Betty's found. Try to stay cool, I hear ya on the heat.
Maybe Betty went out when she heard the newspaper person?
I'm guessing she's also hungry. (or pretending to be)
Enjoy your game.

Just a thought...Betty's a smart girl, and you got her from the Shelter, right?
Does your door shut once she's out in the hall? Wonder if her cat mind was trying to ponder, uh-oh..how do I get back in now? I'll wait here on this cool newspaper until someone sees me.

They probably setup a .forward file on your account. How much unix do you know? You can do a list from your root directory by typing:

ls -a | more

That will list all your files including the hidden files (those starting with a period). If you have a .forward file you can look at it by typing:

more .forward

The space bar moves you forward in the file and q quits you out of it if the file is longer than you want to read. A .forward is probably only a few lines long.

The easiest thing to do is to delete the .forward by typing:

rm .forward

But it would be best for you to verify all that with the ISP before doing anything.

You can rename a file by simply using the move command:

mv Filename newFilename

for example - mv .forward .forward2

then later you can do the same to rename it back.

Aw - stop you're gonna make me blush.

I do wish you were closer though - man I am really starting to hate packing and I never used to hate it before. Blech.

*wallows* I do feel great that I've been able to dust off some old unix command memories to help you out. But I should get back to packing the living room rather than sitting here perusing my friends list and watching TLC.

Which they did not, alas. Fortunately for them, nobody else in that division seems to be winning either. The woes of the A's are, of course, good news in Boston.
