I got as much work work done as I could on the part of the system that is still operational. If they don't get it fixed, I'll be staring down the nose of some more time off. I'm ok with that.

My head feels like someone hit me with a 2x4. It's by no means debilitating just annoying. I'm hoping that 1) no one really does hit me with a 2x4 - that would be debilitation... and 2) it will be fine tomorrow. The 'post op' instructions say that I am not to exert myself for 48 hours. I can't even remember who was president last time I exerted myself. I'm sure whoever it was is now long dead. But, I promise no exerting - at least not until Marci's class tomorrow. And I might even skip that.

I think I pretty much have the new computer all set up like I want it. Kind of amazing because usually it takes at least two tries. I install stuff and set up stuff and it's wrong and so I reset to factory default and do it again. In the old days, I used to do this a few times before I got it like I wanted it. Not this time.

I did set up the second user account for iTunes. I'm not entirely sure it did what I wanted it to but the iPad is happy and hopefully, iTunes will stay out of my way. Having never shared a computer with anyone, I have very little experience with having/using more than one account per. I switched user over to the iTunes one - rather than log off - and I could hear the sound from the main account which was weird.

I created a system image onto one of my pocket hard drives and then created a Restore DVD. My little external DVD writer worked fine and dandy with a USB extension cord.

So all is set up and functioning and I am really pleased with this guy.

30 minutes until the Mariner game.

No exerting! That's a good advice... :-) So just continue with your healing job! And when you read this, it's maybe all back to normal.
