May. 12th, 2011 01:08 pmI talked from 10:30 nearly non-stop until 12:30. I am talked out. I did my training session which did not turn out as horrible as I thought it probably would. One person even sent me a thank you IM after which I thought was really nice.
Then financial advisor called after that and he was really in a chatty mood. By that time it was past lunchtime and I had not planned. So I just finished off the last of a package of those Bagel Thins which, frankly, leave a lot (like the rest of the bagel) to be desired.
I think I'm going to blow off Marci's class today. My head is better until I move it or touch it. I think it wants to stay pretty still until tomorrow. I may go out, instead, and track down some more Tylenol. But I will wear a hat.
In the olden days, we used to wash our hair once a week. I remember hearing (and believing) that if you washed your hair every day it would fall out. Seriously. And I am only 62 years old. I had a college professor who taught nearly a whole marketing class on the marketing of shampoo - and this was in the 60's. He said that the shampoo industry would change the wash your hair every day threat into a standard of care. He sure nailed that sucker.
My three places where there are stitches are covered with antibiotic ointment and I'd love to wash that out and wash my hair but they are also really sore so I think I'll wait until tomorrow.

Date: 2011-05-12 09:03 pm (UTC)Also, my hair gets shampooed exactly as often as it gets cut, because my stylist is the only one who ever does it. I do condition nearly daily, but IMO shampoo is vastly overrated.

Interesting. When I last had my hair done, the guy who did my hair sounded really happy when I told him I do not wash my hair every day.
