TaterTot Casserole

joyofmacs posted this very sad/frustrating entry about frustrations on the job. Knowing she's a love of and comforted by TaterTots, I whipped out the browser to find her a comfort recipe. Took seconds to find a good one. It looked so good, in fact, that I made it tonight and it was YUMMY! I mean, seriously delicious. So, thanks, Joy!

Was the casserole with ham or hamburger? Did you serve it with KETHUP????
Wonder if they make a SPAM and TaterTot recipe? with velveeta ewe my arteries are hardending just thinking about it!

Date: 2002-06-15 08:55 am (UTC)I didn't have ham so I used Spam. Yes, I keep Spam on hand - I like it. And, what's even worse, is that I didn't use TaterTots! I used Crispy Crowns.
I had about a third of a bag of Crispy Crows and only the small can of Spam so I used about a cup of milk and one egg and cubed the Spam and mixed it together with the grated cheese that was left in the bag (maybe a handful and a half?) and poured it into a dish and popped it into the oven.
I did not use ketchup but it would have been a nice accompaniment - not to mention color addition.
As you can imagine, I am also a Velveeta fan, as well, but, alas... none on hand. I think it would make a nice layer on top....
Hey, if I don't keep my arteries clogged, who will????
