From Bueno to Bono

 Just after the Mexico/Ecuador soccer game pre-game festivities cleared out of the parking lot across the street on Saturday, an army of semis loaded with weird stuff - giant trusses and large panels moved in.  And just sat there. I walked by them yesterday and couldn't crack the case.  This morning they moved in portopotties. Then a giant sign went up on the side of the stadium.  I can't read it all because The Tree That I Hate is blocking the view but I can make out a date.  June 5

Off to the trusty event calendar where I see June 5 is a U2 concert!!  That stuff is for building out the venue!  This could be fun.  I won't be able to see much but I should be able to hear stuff.

I can't find a way to do it that will keep me out of tree jail... I hadn't considered fire... hmmmm

U2 played here on Saturday and according to the local rag were fabulous. Apparently it takes days to do their stage set up.

ohhh interesting. I wonder if my guess is wrong. If they were there on Saturday, then the trucks couldn't have been here on Sunday... OR maybe they have two sets. hmmmm

I think U2 have several (either 4 or 5) groups of 19 semis which leap-frog their way across N. America. They will be taking down the stage here until Wednesday.

oh! fascinating. I am very concert illiterate. I am always very astounded at how expensive the ticket prices are and then I see my parking lot full of their trucks a week early and learn there are 4 or 5 more possys like 'em and I wonder how they can sell the tickets for so cheap!

I'm just glad I have a free seat in my living room (not to mention a no line bathroom!) for the event.
