Holy Christ on a Cracker....

The knitting site that I use to document my knitting just sent an email that their security had been breached and they REQUIRED me to change my password and change the password rules to rule out the password I wanted.

This site has zero info about me that is not readily available with a simple google search.  

Get a grip, people!  The end of the world is in sight because bad guys want to know about my knitting?????!!!

The issue is actually if you use the same password/username combo elsewhere, say Paypal or Amazon.

That is incredibly and annoyingly lame.

1. My bad if I'm that stupid - not their job to protect me

2. I have to lock down my knitting so that idiots can protect their bank accounts at other sites????

If their job is to protect bank accounts, they should probably put that in their site info and user agreements.

nope, never have. but... i;ve knitted about 18 bears a month for about 6 years. that's a lot o' bears!

Reminds me of 2002, when my mother complained that they wouldn't let her bring knitting needles on the plane anymore. I told her they were afraid she would knit another Afghan.
